Pastoral counseling combines attentive listening, practical education, values-based reflection, accountability, and fatherhood-focused guidance. Faith may be integrated according to each participant’s goals and background.
Sessions remain focused on helping fathers understand what is happening, identify what is within their control, and make responsible decisions about how they will lead themselves and their homes.

Pastoral counseling and educational coaching provided by Chaplain Jason M. Whitaker are non-clinical services. They are not psychotherapy and are not substitutes for diagnosis or treatment by a licensed mental-health professional.
Chaplain Whitaker does not diagnose or treat mental illness and is not acting as a licensed mental health counselor, clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, psychologist, physician, attorney, custody evaluator, or parenting coordinator.
The Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach credential is a coaching credential and is not an Indiana professional license.

People needing psychotherapy, diagnosis, medication management, addiction treatment, domestic-violence safety services, crisis intervention, medical treatment, or legal representation will be encouraged to work with an appropriately licensed professional.
