Chaplain Jason M. Whitaker serves as Executive Director of the Institute for Applied Family Education and leads Life at Dad’s House, its fatherhood-focused education and pastoral-support initiative.
He is an ordained and commissioned chaplain, Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach, author, parenting educator, and family-life practitioner whose work focuses on fatherhood, family transition, emotional regulation, child development, co-parenting communication, and practical leadership inside the home.

Life at Dad’s House is dedicated to helping create a nation of competent, engaged, and emotionally intelligent fathers.
The work is deliberately practical. Fathers need more than encouragement. They need usable knowledge about everyday care, child development, nutrition, discipline, emotional regulation, relationships, home routines, and the responsibility of remaining fully present through family change.

The Chaplain’s Role
Chaplaincy begins with presence: listening carefully, recognizing the full weight of a person’s circumstances, and helping them move toward clarity, responsibility, meaning, and constructive action.
Chaplain Whitaker’s approach is pastoral, educational, child-centered, and non-diagnostic. It respects the importance of faith while recognizing when a father needs support from a licensed clinician, attorney, physician, or other specialized professional.
